I don’t know if this is real wool. I doubt it. But, I never knew I needed one, but I love it. Except I keep spilling coffee on it. But, I have a glass top desk and with this it doesn’t matter where the mouse it, it always works now!

The pad is a semi soft material. The non slip on the bottom is great. My mouse works on it and it is accurate to listed dimensions.
