I would say this is an ok product if you’re looking for a low cost solution. Definitely not a substitute for the more pricier ones out there, but it does the job. The only complaint I have is I couldn’t get it to work right with a Wii. Works fine with a PS2 though. I don’t have any other console I would need it for so can’t attest for any other retro gear than that.

Using composite cables from my classic consoles. looks and sounds great. if you want to play Sega 32x or Sega Master system i recommend moving the audio to an audio reciever then video in to the RetroScaler to eliminate the rainbow or off color spectrum. highly recommend the scaler.

This is an excellent little upscaler and great for the price. I would reccomend for 2D consoles over 3D, but both get a jump in quality.

Works perfect! I had connected my old N64 with its original coaxial connection and it was blurry as hell. Garbage Amazon converters introduce insane input lag.
This one has solid upscaling with multiple deblur options that you can try for each game, and introduces no input lag. Fantastic way to hook up your old 64. I recommend getting the SVideo connector, a generic one off Amazon will do, and connecting all of the cables to it. Mess around with the buttons to figure out the best looking setting for each game.

I originally got a cheap AV to HDMI and wasn’t impressed with the video output.
i’m still waiting on the delivery of my S-Video cables, but even over composite this is a MAJOR improvement. My N64 actually looks pretty nice over this thing. Definitely does what it sets out to do. Insane value for the money.

The product works great, though it took some effort to figure it out with the Nintendo 64 console on the original 3-colored cable. The micro-USB cable that it came with is faulty – I emailed about this and received no answer (It has been a week, I think). As for the graphics. on a 32-inch LCD it does look better than plugging the N64 directly into the TV, but it is still a little pixelated and could use more smoothing to bring back the CRT look. The easiest way for me to test it is to see how visible Link’s face is in Ocarina of Time – On the CRT you can see his face in his house if he is facing the camera from the other end of the house. On the RetroScaler his face is completely distorted at that distance until he walks closer to the camera. On a direct connection to the TV, though, he needs to be closer than on the RetroScaler for his face to be visible. And of course it can be seen that diagonal edges are squares, not lines.
